Born in Bursa, Mehmet Ali Ekmekçi started his career in the sports sections of Kanal D and Bursa Hakimiyet newspaper. Since 2007, he has worked as the editor, editor-in-chief, and news coordinator at Gazete Avrupa, Bursa Haber Newspaper, Yeni Period Newspaper, Bursa Hakimiyet Newspaper, Kent Newspaper and bursadabugün.com. He also serves as the Chairman of the Bursa Branch of the Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD), a Member of the Board of the Bursa Journalists' Association, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Internet Journalists Federation.
