Mehmet Özer studied biology at the Anadolu University in Eskişehir, northwestern Turkey, and earned his master's degree in entomology at the Hacettepe University in Ankara. He started his career in journalism in 2005 as a reporter at Evrensel newspaper, and between 2006 and 2015 he worked there as a foreign news editor. Mehmet is currently the content editor of Evrensel.net and also a member of the newspaper's Development Department.
