Murat Bay was born in 1984. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physics. He’s been working as documentary photographer since 2010 and has photographed many social movements, armed conflicts, migrations, and natural disasters. He worked in locations in Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Europe and Antarctica. He was the director of cinematography for the movie "Human Flow" directed by Ai Weiwei.
