    Nur Banu Kocaaslan Semercioğlu graduated from the Galatasaray University’s Economics Department in 2012. She worked as a reporter and editor at Cumhuriyet, Dunya Daily and diken.com.tr. During her journalism career, she focused on cultural heritage, urban politics and environmental problems. Currently, she works as a media specialist at SARAT, a cultural heritage project led by the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA). As part of her job, she has conducted several workshops for journalists reporting on archaeology-related issues in Turkey.
